About Club

Ashraya Diabetics Club was formed on 27th Nov. 1992. Proper diet, exercise, Medicines and knowledge about Diabetes are four pillars to keep life of Diabetics happy and without complication. The importance of all these is told in this club. The meeting is held on last Sunday of every month at 5.30 p.m. at Matru Mandir Hall, Sangeeta wadi, Dombivali(E). Specialists on Diabetes deliver lectures on different aspects of Diabetes. Every member is given "Identity card".

Demonstrations are arranged on Diet, Yoga Exercises. Literature and Booklets about Diabetes are distributed. Insulin is made available at concessional rate. Those who are "living with Diabetes" for 25 or 40 years are felicitated. Information about Diabetic Patients is stored in computer.

Best controlled Diabetic is awarded late Dr.S.S.Ajgaonkar best Diabetics award. Blood sugar is checked at concessional rate at Late Arjun Shivram Patil Diagnostic Center, Sudama Tower, behind Kasturi plaza, Manpada Road, Dombivli(E), Ph.420627. Diabetes detection camps are arranged at different places. Public education about diabetes is done through speeches, slide shows, video cassettes etc. World famous Diabetologist Dr. Ajgaonkar is guiding force behind this.

Membership is Rs.100/- per year
Life Membership Rs 1000/- .

There are branches at Kalyan, Khopoli, Tala, Roha & Mangaon in Maharashtra, India.
