Asthma is on increase in society. Humid air, Polluted air, Dust, Vehicle Smoke and Smoking are the reasons for it. Asthma cannot be cured, but can be controlled with proper care and regular medicines.It can be controlled like Diabetes and Hypertension. Different medicines and treatment are available after great research. Lack of knowledge on the part of patients is keeping them away from modern treatment. Ashraya Trust would like to educate asthmatics and give them knowledge about modern treatment and enable them to control asthma to live better life. Ashraya Trust had started "Ashraya Asthma Club" on 25th Oct.1998. Members of Ashraya Asthma Club are likely to get following benefits. (1) Asthma Camp is arranged once in a month. (2) Specialist's lectures, slide shows, video shows etc. are arranged once in three month (3) "Peak Flow Meter" for every member. You will be able to measure intensity of Asthma at home. (4) Allergy Test and Computerised Lung Function Tests are arranged on concessional rates. (5) Nebulizer on Rental basis. (6) Two Picnics per year. Yearly contribution for this club is Rs.100/- and Life Membership is Rs.1000/- We appeal to Asthmatics to be the member of this club and live normal life.
